Empirical correlation with dimensionless parameters for following the kinetic separation performance via reverse osmosis desalination process of groundwater

<p>The present paper carries for novel modeling that are often used evaluate the kinetic performance of groundwater reverse osmosis (GWRO) desalination system by empirical correlation with dimensionless parameters. About three hundred correlationshave been proposed and validated calculation cumulative volumes: alimentation, permeate rejection as a function filtration time vice versa. This has obtained inspiration models already in literature from four unitary operation processes: filtration, adsorption, drying extraction. The experimental data consists 2561 points taken during lifetime 66 organics RO membranes. interpreting regression residual results is statistical criteria: reduced chi-Sqr, sum residual, r-square (COD) adj. R-square (R²) two criteria ANOVA analysis: squares, mean square. Results show 95 correlations (DEC) among 192 highly capable to describe separation kinetics on curve least R2 was around 0.970 comparison best (DEC 1) 0,998, 0,995 0,993 rejection, respectively, negligible errors perfect alignment according criteria.</p>
